Sony A7CR Mirrorless Camera with FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens Silver
Sony has combined the most advanced features from their flagship high-resolution Alpha camera into a compact C-series model, with this Sony A7CR Mirrorless Camera Body Silver arriving for creators who focus on the best image quality. Whether you shoot portraits, street photography or landscapes, the new ultra-portable A7CR Silver allows you to concentrate on your subject, while capturing better image quality than ever.
It meets these demands through a 61 megapixel Exmor R full-frame CMOS sensor, BIONZ XR image processor and the inclusion of a dedicated AI processing unit. These are all taken from the powerful A7R V and contained inside the far smaller and more portable body of the A7CR.
Between these three components you can create unbelievably high-resolution images, with more refined colours and far more accurate realtime recognition AF, thanks to AI-driven subject detection and tracking, which also recognises a wider variety of subjects.
The body itself is similar to the standard resolution Sony A7C II Camera Black, and boasts a refined user-experience with new menu layout, new vari-angle LCD touchscreen and improved grip.
Although the AC7R is primarily focused on stills image quality and resolution, it is also offers hybrid creators with video, and the ability to record 4K 60p full-frame with a slight crop as well as 4K 30p in 4:2:2 10-bit Super 35. There are also lots of new tools available for video such as Creative Looks, S-Log3 and S-Cinetone profile as well as breathing compensation, AF Assist and Focus Mapping.
Sony A7CR Mirrorless Camera with FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens Silver
The second generation Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens arrives hot on the heels of the FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Mark II, as the second G Master zoom to be updated. Not only is it significantly smaller and lighter than its 2016 predecessor, but packs four XD linear focus motors for tenacious AF performance when shooting both stills and video. High resolution, edge to edge sharpness rivals even the best prime lenses for Sony, while an 11-bladed aperture renders gorgeous rounded bokeh with smooth out of focus areas.
As one of the most versatile professional zoom lenses for full-frame Sony cameras, this is a workhorse suited to everything from portraits and landscape photography to weddings, wildlife and moviemaking. It’s these subjects which inspired the mark II design, resulting in a new standard zoom, which is 191g lighter with around 18% less mass than the previous generation. The XD linear motors are extremely effective with fast and quiet autofocus and tenacious tracking for video and stills at up to 30fps burst rates, which the flagship a1 delivers.
