The next generation Sony A7C II Mirrorless Camera Body Silver comes with significant upgrades for stills and video content creators, which are housed inside Sony’s most portable full-frame body.
This updated compact C series hybrid mirrorless Alpha cameras includes a 33 megapixel full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, which is also found in the A7 IV. As well as this, the A7C II is powered by the same high-speed BIONZ XR processor first seen in the flagship A1, for 8x the processing speed compared with the previous model.
Alongside these sits a revolutionary AI processing unit, which has been ported from the Sony A7R V. The Ai-driven processor handles subject recognition and tracking more effectively and includes human pose destination as well as new subjects like insects and vehicles. Other significant upgrades to this generation camera include up to 7-stops in-body stabilisation, and continuous burst shooting at up to 10fps with AF/AE tracking, for incredible stills capabilities.
Filmmakers can record video in a variety of formats up to 4K 60p (Super 35) and full-frame 4K at 30p, in 4:2:2 10-bit. Sony has also included features such as Creative Looks, along with S-Log and S-Cinetone colour profiles for colour grading and enhanced dynamic range, plus LUT support for advanced video capabilities.
The Silver A7C II body (also available as AC7 II black) has been refined, with enhanced ergonomics that include new front and rear dials, S&Q dial and an improved grip for better handling.
